P5 Camp

It has been a few years since I last went for a camp with the school. So when I knew that we were going for the camp, I was quite excited. I only packed my things for the camp the night before. Just 2 T-shirts, 2 pairs of pants and a pair of slippers. And, of course my bag of precious toiletries - toothbrush, toothpaste, facial cleanser, moisturiser, shower foam and contact lens solution.

The rain dampened our spirits for the first part of the morning. However, after lunch, the sun began to shine and I think most of you managed to go through the rope elements. The Math Trail was quite interesting, too. And, yes, I enjoyed watching you play "Kidnapped!". The camp instructors were really a highly active and enthusiastic group. They were quite creative, too, especially with the performaces you put up during the campfire. The cheers were very catchy and funny!

It was very heartening to see how well you worked together in a team, how independent you were without your parents or your maids looking after you and how brave you were to sleep in the 'huts'.

I have learnt more about the other P5 teachers as we spent time talking and finding out more about each other when we were in our air-conditioned bunks. All in all, it was truly a wonderful experience.

Tell me about your experience at Jalan Bahtera.

p.s. For those of you who were homesick, don't fret, you're not the only one :P
